All of our Physiotherapists are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and are registered with the Health Professions Council. As such they are bound by the professional rules of conduct and with rigorous standard set by the governing body
Physiotherapy is the treatment of soft tissue and joint problems using a combination of ‘hands-on’ manual therapy techniques, exercise, rehabilitation and re-education methods. Electrotherapy is sometimes used to reduce pain and promote tissue healing. Some physiotherapists use manipulation and can practice acupuncture for pain relief.
Effective treatment depends heavily on accurate diagnosis. Our physiotherapists are highly experienced and have developed expert diagnostic skills. They are able to draw on experience gathered from working in elite sports and from post-graduate training to identify what is wrong and work in ways which complement your body’s natural healing processes to overcome injury and pain.
Where it is not possible to obtain a clear clinical diagnosis or in the case that you do not respond we have a wide network of consultants that we regularly refer to.
If we cannot help then will help to get you to see someone that can.
Our Physiotherapists
The physiotherapists at The Therapy Centre are all members of the Health Professions Council. This gives patients the assurance that they will receive high quality treatment from professionally qualified and regulated physiotherapists.
Every patient is assessed individually at their initial appointment. This enables the physiotherapist to accurately interpret the problem and formulate an effective treatment plan based on the findings. Patients are reassessed at each session to monitor their progress.
